According to wholevehicles, Jordan is a small country located in the Middle East and is bordered by Syria to the north, Iraq to the northeast, Saudi Arabia to the east and south, and Israel and Palestine to the west. It is situated in a region where three continents meet: Africa, Asia, and Europe. The country has an area of approximately 89,342 square kilometers. The terrain of Jordan is mostly rugged and mountainous with high plateaus in the east. The highest point in Jordan is Mount Hermon at 2,814 meters above sea level. The country also has several rivers such as the Yarmouk River which flows through Syria into Jordan before emptying into the Dead Sea. Other rivers include the Zarqa River which flows from Syria into northern Jordan before draining into Lake Tiberias; Al-Azraq Oasis which supports a variety of wildlife; Wadi Mujib which is considered one of the deepest canyons in the world; and Wadi Rum which features dramatic desert landscapes.┬áJordan’s climate varies depending on elevation with more temperate conditions found at higher elevations while lower elevations experience hotter temperatures. In general, summers are hot and dry while winters are milder but still dry with occasional rain showers occurring from November to April. Rainfall generally increases from west to east with higher amounts falling along coastal areas such as Aqaba on the Red Sea coast where temperatures tend to be cooler year-round due to higher humidity levels.
