According to wholevehicles, Cuba is an island nation located in the Caribbean Sea, just south of the Bahamas and east of Mexico. The total land area of the country is 109,884 square kilometers, making it the largest island in the Caribbean. It is divided into 14 provinces and one special municipality. The terrain of Cuba is mostly flat to rolling plains with rugged hills and mountains in the southeast region. The highest point on the island is Pico Turquino at 1,974 meters above sea level. The coastline of Cuba is more than 3,500 kilometers long with many bays, coves and mangrove swamps along its shores. There are also numerous small islands scattered throughout Cuba’s waters including Isla de la Juventud off its southern coast. Offshore there are coral reefs and deep-sea trenches which provide an ideal habitat for a wide variety of marine life including dolphins, whales and sharks. The climate in Cuba varies from tropical to temperate depending on location. In general, temperatures remain warm year round with average highs ranging from 25°C to 31°C from November to April and up to 33°C during summer months (May-October). Rainfall varies significantly across regions but generally occurs during summer months with most areas receiving between 1,000 mm – 2,000 mm annually. Hurricanes are common during hurricane season (June – November) due to its proximity to the Caribbean Sea. See paulfootwear for weather information in Cuba.
