According to wholevehicles, Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world, covering an area of 2.8 million square kilometers and stretching over 3,500 kilometers from its northern tip to its southernmost point. It is bordered by Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay and Chile. Its terrain ranges from the flat plains of the Pampas in the north to the Gran Chaco lowlands in the northeast to the Andes Mountains in the far west. In between these regions are rolling hills, desert areas and numerous rivers including Rio de la Plata and Paraná. The country has a variety of climates ranging from subtropical in the north to subarctic in parts of Patagonia in the south. The central region has a temperate climate with hot summers and cold winters. Argentina’s highest peak is Cerro Aconcagua at 6,960 meters above sea level located near Mendoza. In addition to mountains, Argentina’s landscape also includes several large lakes including Nahuel Huapi Lake located near Bariloche which is one of its most popular tourist destinations due to its picturesque views and outdoor activities such as skiing and mountain climbing. The country also has a number of islands including Tierra del Fuego off its southern coast which is known for its rugged beauty with glaciers, fjords and snow-capped peaks. Antarctica is also part of Argentina’s territory due to it being part of South America’s continental shelf. Argentina’s varied landscape makes it an ideal place for outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, kayaking, horseback riding or mountain biking through some of its many national parks like Los Glaciares or Iguazu Falls National Park which features one of the largest waterfalls system on earth.
